Description
Full face wooden mask, all hand carved not a tourist piece, has the hessian rear head piece, and grass hair piece that still has some colour, fits nicely over your head so you can see out of the eyes.
There are three on this site all coming from the same lady who has recently passed away, she was born in West Africa in 1926 and came back to this country when she was three.
These pieces inc the bowl and some spears and a lion skin, were all bought back and have been packed away for many many years..
I’m afraid i don’t know what tribe this is to represent, but is a great piece of tribal art.
The size is 14 inches tall by 11 inches, the piece is in good condition.
