Description

Old Victorian Taxidermy Opossum. The Opossum is a marsupial of the order Didelphimorphia endemic to the America’s. The largest order of marsupials in the Western Hemisphere, it comprises of 103 or more species in 19 genera.

This example is mounted fully on a large tree branch,it has also got some small damage to the tip and end of the tail and is worn on the tips of the ears, otherwise this little fella is in good condition for its age and has still got great colour. The hair has a good feel, all the claws are intact, he has all his own teeth and glass eyes.

The overall length is 24 inches with the Opossum at 19.5 inch, and is 11 inch high.

This is nearly the last of  a collection from Scotland bought some 5 years ago
